Your role

In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Plan, implement and monitor the project work schedules according to the master plan and detailed work programs.
• Detailed implementation of construction programme, drive progress, anticipate and resolve daily site related issues in order to complete the work within specific time frame.
• Check construction drawings for accuracy and completeness for construction.
• Involve in new factory, production lines, equipment design together with production and engineering team.
• Involve in all civil works of the company such as drainage, irrigation, water supply, road construction, new corporate tower projects and etc.
• Conduct inspections and checking on works by external contractor and in house team.
• CAD Modelling skills such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, AutoDesk will be of added advantage.
• Ensure that all operations are carried out safely.
• Required to complete one project under their own department.
• Required to at least participate or organize one Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
• Required to do final presentation on their departmental project & CSR programme on the last week of internship.
• Shall take additional responsibility as instructed by the immediate superior.
• The scope of authority shall refer to the selected work process procedure/ instruction

Work-life balance

The Top Glove work-life balance rated by the interns is quite good, with 3.1 out of 5 stars. The workload is also reasonable. The working hours for this position are regular hours from Monday to Friday, one Saturday in. There won't be a call or message on your off days so you can enjoy your free time outside of work. However, sometimes you have to work overtime to finish your work or additional duties.

In general, Top Glove is a good place to learn many new things as the manufacturing process is quite complicated.
