Your role

As a Finance Operations Specialist at Shopee, you will have the following duties:

• Assist in day-to-day reporting of financial information and preparation of required regulatory reporting.
• Responsible for daily bank entries booking and monthly bank reconciliation.
• Record and monitor daily bank balance and ensure sufficient cash flow to perform day-to-day payout.  
• Monitor processed payments and conduct reconciliation on payment transactions and settlements.
• Promptly respond to other business stakeholders on inquiries to resolve any delay in payment processing to merchants. 
• Work closely with the Payment Operation team on ensuring accurate processing of settlement and also refund-related matters.
• Supporting Senior and Manager in gathering relevant information for audit and other ad-hoc duties and projects

About you

To join as a Finance Operations Specialist at Shopee Malaysia, you should meet the following requirements:

• Preferable 1-2 years working experience in E-wallet or Fintech industry. 
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant fields.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc)
• Excellent communication skills in email, face-to-face conversation, and remote discussion. 
• Ability to work well under pressure, detail-oriented, and strong logical and critical thinking to solve problems.
• Proactive and a good team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
