Finance Intern (Rolling Intake)

Your role

The Legal, Compliance, and Finance teams play a key role in ensuring Shopee complies with applicable regulations and is primed for success with the right checks and balances while safeguarding the interests of the buyers and sellers in an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Ensure timely completion of work assigned with high accuracy
• Assist the Accounts Payable team and all activities within these functions
• Perform verification of affiliate’s details and validation of Accounts Payable invoices on time
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the information and reports for assigned tasks.
• Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
• Assist in evidence gathering for external and internal audits
• Perform other ad hoc assignments and tasks as and when requested by the superior.
• Emphasize teamwork and assist the team by handling daily tasks

About you

To apply for this role at Shopee Malaysia, you need to meet the following requirements:

• Second or third-year student with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and highly adaptable with a good attitude
• Basic accounting knowledge and willingness to work with data entry tasks
• Good and approachable interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Minimum 3 months internship
