Your role

As an Accounts Payable Intern, you will provide administrative and clerical support by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices as well as monitoring expenses. In this role, you will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping them on track, on time, and on good terms with valued vendors or suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
  • Generate and process payment as necessary.
  • Perform invoice and general ledger data entry.
  • Execute accounts reconciliation.
  • Support the company in optimizing the financial transactions and systems.
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.
  • Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.
  • Follow internal policies and procedures on all tasks assigned.

About you

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or having completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Available for a 6-month internship.

Required skills and experience

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a must; Mandarin speaking is an added advantage.
  • Technology-savvy; able to work using Microsoft Excel and eager to learn about new systems.
  • Have a growth mindset and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability in time and planning management.
  • Act as a team player.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
